What Happens on the day:

You’ll be welcomed by our events team who will deliver a safety briefing , before your instructor shows you around the car.

You’ll head our for two sighting laps to learn the circuit, and then it’s time to push, for five flat out miles of proper driving.

What Happens on the day:

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a member of our concierge team and offered a tea, coffee or cold refreshments, before being taken to collect your drivers wristband. You’ll then meet your instructor - an ARDS qualified racing driver - who will introduce you to the car and provide a safety briefing. After your briefing, it’s time to strap in and get ready to go. You’ll first complete two ‘sighting laps’ which are slower laps designed to show you around the circuit first before beginning to push.

There are no speed limits and no rev limits - so after your sighting laps are over, its time for you to put your foot down and see what a real race car feels like when you are behind the wheel. You’ll spend a total of 20 minutes driving on the circuit (averages about 20 miles for most drivers, but this depends on the length of the circuit and how fast you drive!)

  • Race car orientation and safety briefing

  • 2 sighting laps with your instructor

  • 20 minutes of track time in your chosen race car (Approx. 10 laps aka 20 Miles)

Half Day Experience: £499

What happens on the day:

You’ll then meet your instructor - an ARDS qualified racing driver - who will introduce you to the car and provide a safety briefing. After your briefing, it’s time to strap in and get ready to go.

You’ll first complete two ‘sighting laps’ which are slower laps designed to show you around the circuit first before beginning to push.

There are no speed limits and no rev limits - so after your sighting laps are over, its time for you to put your foot down and see what a real race car feels like when you are behind the wheel. You’ll spend a total of 3x 20 minute sessions driving on the circuit, so you can expect to complete 24 to 36 laps (a full race distance) depending on how fast you are and which circuit you choose.

  • 2 sighting laps with your instructor to get a feel for the circuit layout

Full Day Experience: £899

What Happens on the day:

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a member of our concierge team and offered a tea, coffee or cold refreshments, before being taken to collect your drivers wristband.

You’ll then meet your instructor - an ARDS qualified racing driver - who will introduce you to the car and provide a safety briefing. After your briefing, it’s time to strap in and get ready to go.

You’ll first complete two ‘sighting laps’ which are slower laps designed to show you around the circuit first before beginning to push.

There are no speed limits and no rev limits - so after your sighting laps are over, its time for you to put your foot down and see what a real race car feels like when you are behind the wheel. You’ll be sharing the car for the day with (up to) five others, and you will all rotate through the car in 15 - 20 minute sessions, all day, indefinitely. This means there is no limit to the number of sessions you can do - this is an ‘all you can drive’ buffet.

  • Race car orientation and safety briefing

  • 2 sighting laps with your instructor

  • Full day sharing with up to 5 other customers

  • No limit to how many times you can drive

  • Expect 2h - 3h of driving across the day

Here’s how it works:

There are 5 types of experience:

Test Drive:
2 sighting laps + 2 fast laps of driving.

Full Session:
1x 20 minute driving session.

Half Day:
3x 20 minute Sessions. Can be shared with friends.

Full Day:
Unlimited driving 9-5pm. 5 customers share a car.

Private Hire (POA, please contact us):
Full day, but you don’t share the car with anyone.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Not at all. Our coaches will guide you at every step. We welcome both first-timers and seasoned drivers.

    You just need a drivers license, which you’ll need to present on the day.

  • We never book more than five drivers per car for the day. That means more time at the wheel, more stints on track, and a fuller experience for you.

    Our focus is on giving you the most, not the least.

    If you’re booking as a private group and want to bring more friends along, we can arrange more than five drivers per car on request.

  • You’ll have access to food and refreshments throughout the day, as well as a private paddock area to relax between stints. It’s premium, stripped back from our trademark ultra-luxury offering available at a higher price, but still contains everything you need for an unforgettable day.

  • In most cases, the event goes ahead as normal. Your pit crew will swap the car to wet tyres, adjust the suspension setup for the conditions, and get you back out on track. Driving in the wet is part of the authentic motorsport experience, and our instructors will coach you accordingly.

    However, in severe weather we reserve the right to pause driving, reschedule, or cancel the event: Some of the cars we operate - such as the Radical - cannot be safely operated in heavy rain.

    As long as it’s safe, we run in the wet.

  • Yes, spectators are welcome to join you at the circuit.

    Viewing access varies by venue, but most tracks allow guests to watch from pit lane or grandstands.

    Your guest are welcome to enjoy all of the perks of our hospitality, too.

    Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and are not permitted into the pit lane itself (but they are allowed in the pit lane garage and in the viewing areas).

  • You are liable for all costs associated with damage without limit, unless you purchase a damage waiver.

    Damage waivers are optional, and cap your liability for damages to the excess on the cars insurance policy (this varies by car, typically from £1,000 to £3,500).

    In some cases we may require you to provide a deposit equal to the excess, which will be refunded when the event concludes and the car is undamaged.

  • Yes. Use the enquiry form on this page, and we’ll arrange a private car for you and your friends.

    With Merrills Motorsport, you can hire the whole fleet privately for group bookings.
